Cross-Country Skiing in Norway

April 10  - 14, 2001

Hans Peter Brondmo, Pete Kovac, and I went cross-country skiing in the Norway for five days, starting 4/10. It was Easter week, when the entire country goes into the mountains. We took the train to Finse, got out right on the snow, and then skied from hut to hut, mostly along well-marked trails, for a total of about 100 km. The 'huts' are really well-appointed lodges with hot water, excellent sit-down meals with waiters, comfortable bunk beds, with several dozen people staying each night.
